100 backstroke this morning was a miss. I was a 1:05.6 and placed 31st. So, no second swim. I was out fast enough, but then dropped off my stroke rate in the last 25 and couldn't hold onto my speed.
Then my breaststroke race, over TWO HOURS LATER, went much better. I was out very slow, but didn't die and went 2:40.77, which is just a second over my best time. I also made a B final in 14th spot, so I have another shot tonight to go a best time.
I am looking forward to only having one race tonight and not having to wait forever between races. It will also be nice to know what stroke to warm up.
